COURSE DESCRIPTION<\/mark><\/strong>
The Raku Making and Firing Workshop is aimed at enthusiastic beginners or intermediates who are keen on an intensive and rich creative programme. It offers a professional approach to the technique, and we will try, in addition to simple glazes, Naked Raku, Terra Sigillata and Horse Hair Raku. At the same time, participants can get an insight into the unique Ikarian way of life.

PROGRAM<\/b><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 1 <\/mark><\/strong>
The first day is a day of getting to know each other. You will arrive around midday, we will discuss theoretical and technical details of building and firing with the Raku technique. On our table we will have some ceramics as examples to study up close. Each participant will receive a bag with their personal tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 2 <\/mark><\/strong>
First day of creation. You will be free to make whatever you want within the limits we will set on the first day. We will be with you throughout giving you advice and directing you for the best possible result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 3<\/strong> <\/mark>
We continue with the creation and completion of the ceramic works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 4 <\/mark><\/strong>
This is the day we will be bisque firing your work, and while the kilns will be working, we will have the pleasure of showing you around our beautiful island. Some of our options are to visit the Archaeological Museum, take a hike on the unique Ikarian paths, visit the thermal baths or one of the famous wineries. We will define the program on the first day, depending on the weather and the mood of the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 5<\/mark> <\/mark><\/strong>
On the fifth day, you will learn to use glazes and different firing techniques. You can make very simple applications or depending on your mood and design skills – something more complex. The firings will start like the workshops – from 10 in the morning and last as long as we have daylight. Of course, anyone who wants to can actively participate in the firing. After each kiln, each participant takes their works and clears the charcoal off while we discuss the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second firing day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, this will be the day of departure
